Hacking the game: Values in Research

Values in Research (bit.ly/ValuesInResearch) is an example of how easily the game can be hacked or adapted, not only for a different place but also for an entirely different context.

Largely keeping the game mechanics intact, we rewrote the cards to explore fictional research projects. It was tested with a group of Environmental Technology MSc students at Imperial College London; the game served as a good introduction to questioning research practices, and it was fun to play.

You can download your own set of rules (free) and play with a regular deck of cards. The last two pages are blank so that when printed as an A5 booklet there is space for notes.

Alternatively, the custom-made version can be purchased online.
